Adding Attachments

To add attachments to an email with the M-Files Hubshare for Outlook plugin:

  1. In Outlook, write a new email message.
  2. In the Outlook ribbon, select the Hubshare tab.
  3. Click Add new attachment in Hubshare.
    Result:The Open dialog is opened.
    Tip: If you have already added attachments with Attach File, you can change these attachments to be shared with a link to M-Files Hubshare. To do this in the Hubshare tab, click Send attached files with Hubshare.
  4. In the Open dialog, select the files.
  5. Click Open.
    Result:A grey box for the links to the attachments is added to your email message. If you remove the box, the recipient cannot open the attachments.
  6. When your message is ready, click Send.
    Result:The Sending dialog is opened, and your attachments are uploaded to M-Files Hubshare, to Organization-level hub > Files > Outbox.
  7. In the Sending dialog, click Close when the attachments are uploaded.
The attachments are now added as M-Files Hubshare links, and your message is sent. The M-Files Hubshare links are normally available for 15 days. For information on how to change the period during which the links are available, see Changing the Availability of Hubshare Links.
