Advanced Search
Video: How to use the Advanced Search in M-Files
With advanced search, you can filter your search results with properties or values. To do an advanced search, select the search bar on the top area and select the Advanced search tab.
In Your search filters, you can search for properties or values and set search conditions for them. For example, to filter for objects that were created by you, you can search for the property Created by with the operator is and the value (current user).
In Filter by object type, you can filter search results with one or more object types. You can find more object types from the drop-down menu.
In Selected filters, you can see the filters
that will be used in your search. Select the Remove icon () next to the filter to remove it, or select Clear
selected filters to remove all added filters.
To add more filters, select Additional filters. This opens the Additional filters dialog in which you can specify your search with, for example, object ID and flags.
You can move between quick search and advanced search and keep your selected filters. When you are ready, select Search. You can continue to filter your results until you find what you are looking for.
