The report access identity is the identity that is used in retrieval of reports from the reporting services to M-Files Desktop and in reading them. You can find this function in the task area after selecting Reporting and Data Export in the left-side tree view of M-Files Admin.

Windows user identity
Reports are accessed via the user's Windows account. This is the recommended choice in a Windows domain environment.
Specific identity
The identity specified here can be a local Windows account, a domain account, or some other account recognized by the reporting service.
Specify a dedicated reporting account with limited permissions for the reporting services.
