In the User Management view you can invite new users and manage their roles in your organization.
Note: You must have user administrator rights to invite and manage users.
User types
In M-Files Ment, there are four user roles:
| User role | Description |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access. Can manage users, white-labelling, templates, and create documents. |
| Manager | Can see all templates and create documents. |
| Author | Can see only their own templates and documents. |
| User | Can create documents. |
Inviting users
To invite new users:
- Log in to your M-Files Ment account.
- Select the user icon in the top-right corner.
- Select a role for the user from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the user’s email address.
- Select Send invitation.
The user receives an email invitation to join your organization in M-Files Ment.
Creating users with allowed domains
Note: If your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO) and you need to add many users ,
you can use the Allowed domains feature to automate user creation.
To configure allowed domains:
- Log in to your M-Files Ment account.
- Select the user icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Organization settings.
- Select the SSO tab.
- Select a provider from the Provider dropdown.
- Turn on Allowed domains switch. This limits the access to specific email domains.
- Select the role for new users from allowed domains.
- Enter a domain (for example: example.com).
- Select Add new domain.
When a user from an allowed domain logs in using SSO and does not yet have an M-Files Ment account, the system automatically creates the user and assigns the selected role.
