Managing Hub-Specific User Groups

Note: You must have hub admin rights or user manager rights to do this.

A hub-specific group is a user group that can be used only in one hub. To create and manage user groups that can be used also in other hubs, see Creating user groups and Editing and deleting user groups.

Creating hub-specific groups

To create a hub-specific user group in M-Files Hubshare:

  1. On the sidebar of a hub, move your cursor to the Manage hub icon () and select Users.
    Result:The Manage users page is opened.
  2. In the top-right corner of the user interface, click Create hub-specific group ().
    Result:The Create hub-specific group view is opened.
  3. Enter the name and description for the group.
  4. Click Add user to group.
    Result:The Add user to group dialog is opened.
  5. Find and select the users that you want to add to the hub.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Next step.
  8. In the next steps, configure the settings for the group.
  9. In the last configuration step, click Save and finish.
The hub-specific group is added to the list of users. You can now manage the user rights of the group.
