Creating, Editing, and Deleting Views
Creating views
To create a view, open the All tab and select the Create
view button () in the bottom right corner of the listing
area.
Here is an overview of the user interface for view creation.
On the left, you can give your view a name and add or edit the view filters. In addition, you can select which object types to show in the view. If you do not select anything, the view contains all object types available in the vault. When you open the Select object type drop-down menu, you can see all object types.

The Show view options control includes view settings. Select Grouping settings to arrange your view into groups and subgroups. You can also show or hide content, and delete the view.
Under the view creation controls, you can see a preview of your view content.
Creating views inside views
You can also create a view inside another view. This lets you further specify the information shown in the view. For example, in a view that contains all your projects, you can create subviews for ongoing and past projects.
- Open a view.
- Select an empty spot on the listing area with the secondary mouse button.
- Select Create view.
Editing views and view columns
To edit an existing view, open it and select Edit view on the top right corner.
To add a column, select the column title area with the secondary mouse button and select a column in the Insert column list. To remove a column, select the column title with the secondary mouse button and select Remove this column.
Deleting views
To delete a view:
- Open the All tab.
- Select the view with the secondary mouse button.
- Select Delete.
If you are in the view, select the Show view options () in the top right corner and
select Delete view.
To delete common views, you must be a system admin or have one of these administrative rights in the vault: Full control of vault or Manage common views and notification rules.
