Viewing activity logs for M-Files widgets

M-Files Hubshare provides activity logs for M-Files widgets. You can use these logs to monitor how users access and edit content.

M-Files Hubshare logs user actions related to M-Files content. The following events are recorded:

  • ObjectWorkflowStateChange
  • ObjectMetadataChanged
  • ObjectCreated
  • ObjectCheckedOut

  • ObjectUndoCheckout
These events show document actions and object changes, such as metadata updates and workflow state changes.
Note: If you delete a Hub or widget, related activity events are no longer visible in the user interface.

Viewing widget activities

Use this option to view events for a specific widget.

To view widget-level activities:

  1. Open the Hub and go to the relevant page.
  2. Find the M-Files widget.
  3. Open the context menu for the widget.
  4. Select Activities.
    Result:The system shows all events for all users in the selected widget.
Note: When you select Activities from the widget menu, the activity list cannot be exported. The Export data to CSV option in the widget menu exports widget data, not activity logs. To export activity logs, use the CSV report option in Settings > Activity > M-Files integration.

Viewing all activities

Use this option to view events across all M-Files widgets in the Hub.

You can open the activity log view in two ways:

  • Select Settings > Activity > M-Files integration.
  • Select Configuration and style > Hub activity.

The system shows all events from all M-Files widgets in the Hub. You can also filter the data by date range, user, event type, widget, or hub.

Exporting activity data

Note: When you export large amounts of data, use filters to limit the number of events. Large datasets can affect performance.

To export activity data:

  1. On the navigation bar, select the user icon and select Settings.
  2. Select Activity > M-Files integration
    Result:The system shows all events from all M-Files widgets in the Hub.
  3. Optional: Apply filters to refine the data.
  4. Select CSV report.
    Result:The system downloads a CSV file with the filtered activity log entries.
