Setting Up Watermarks
Note: You must have hub admin rights to do this.
You can create watermark templates and set them to be used in the Files module and the M-Files Explorer and M-Files Views widgets. Watermarks are added to documents when they are viewed or printed.
Creating and editing watermark templates
To create a watermark template:

On the sidebar of a hub, move your cursor to the Manage
hub icon (
) and select Watermarks.

In Select or create watermark templates, click
Create watermark template (
).

In Edit watermark template, specify the name, content, font, font
size, and font color of the watermark.
In Text, you can use the buttons to add dynamically changing content to your watermark. You can copy and paste the resulting tag to a different place in your watermark content. For example, the [DATE] tag is replaced in the watermark with the date when the document is viewed or printed.
- In Select watermark location, select where on the document you want the watermark to be added.
- Click Save.

Managing watermark templates
To manage how the watermark templates are used:

On the sidebar of a hub, move your cursor to the Manage
hub icon (
) and select Watermarks.
- Click Configuration.

In Files, set the watermark options for the
Files module:

In Dashboard, set the watermark options to use for
M-Files
Explore and Views widgets:
- Click Save.
