Dynamic filters

Dynamic filters let users enter filter values in a widget. The widget updates results based on these values.

Dynamic filters work in four stages:

Hub-level configuration

Administrators define which properties can be used as dynamic filters. Only these properties can later be used in widgets.

Widget-level configuration

Administrators create an object filter and select Dynamic as the value type. The user enters the values when they use the widget.

Automatic property matching

When the widget loads, the system compares the configured properties with the permitted properties. Only matching properties are available as dynamic filters.

If no matching properties exist, the widget does not show dynamic filters.

User enters values

The system shows a dynamic filter menu when matching properties exist. The user enters one or more values, and the widget updates the results.

Note: If a dynamic filter value is empty, the system ignores the filter. If no values are entered, the widget does not show results.
