Deleting User Accounts

You can permanently delete external and internal user accounts. After deletion, the user account activities are still shown in Settings > Activity.

Make note that external and internal user account deletions have different consequences:

  • When you delete an external user account, none of the content that the user has created is deleted. This applies to the content that the user has created to M-Files Hubshare and M-Files.
  • When you delete an internal user account, the content that the user has created to M-Files Hubshare is deleted. For example, the hubs and hub templates. The content created to M-Files with M-Files widgets is not deleted.

To delete a user account:

  1. On the navigation bar, select the user icon and select Settings.
  2. In the Administration section, select Internal users or External users.
  3. On a user account row, click the three-dots menu icon ().
  4. Select Delete.
    Result:The User deletion dialog opens.
  5. In the dialog, select Delete.
The user account is permanently deleted, and the user can no longer access M-Files Hubshare with it.
